In a media announcement, OnePay confirmed newly listed tokens such as SUI, Polygon (MATIC), and Arbitrum (ARB) — moves that follow last week’s additions of Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and PAX Gold (PAXG).
OnePay originally launched in January with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) after revealing last year that it would move into digital assets as part of a broader plan to become a “super app.” The platform today combines a digital wallet usable at Walmart checkouts and on the retailer’s website with other financial services, aiming to make crypto access part of everyday commerce.
“We plan on continuing to expand thoughtfully, prioritizing assets that meet a high bar: demand, liquidity, regulatory clarity and long-term utility,” said Ron Rojany, OnePay’s general manager. He added the company is focused on a curated set of assets tied to how customers actually use and manage money, rather than chasing short-term market trends.
OnePay’s push comes amid a wider industry race to build all-in-one financial super apps. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has said his company is prioritizing an “everything exchange,” leveraging its Base network to serve both consumers and the on-chain economy’s infrastructure. Separately, Startale Group recently launched a super app on an Ethereum Layer-2 to centralize access to Sony’s Soneium ecosystem, including token generation events, airdrops, and rewards.
With Walmart’s retail reach and OnePay’s expanding token lineup, the move highlights how traditional commerce and crypto platforms are converging — and how competition to become the default gateway for everyday crypto use is intensifying.
